Matcha Tea

Matcha tea is a traditional tea ceremony originating in China and perfected in Japan since the 8th century. It consists of steamed and dried tea leaves that are stone grinded to powder. 

When I started shooting for Byoh in 2015, the Matcha tea trend was just starting in New York after an Instagram post of a celebrity in a coffee shop.

The setup

This setup was inspired from makeup and cosmetics ads as the packaging style resemble one of those hand creams.
The slash in the background follow the brand y. Byoh stands for
Be Your Own Hero, in fact green tea contains antioxidant properties.

From Japan

In 2015 Byoh brought to Denmark the Japanese Cerimonial tea, the highest grade and opening the first Matcha Bar in Denmark.
